The Reasons Why Relationships Break Up - A Woman's Point Of View

It is never easy when a relationship breaks down, what started out so positive and happy can often end with tears. So what are the reasons for some of these break ups? In this article my colleague at work explains why she thinks, from her personal experience, relationships can turn sour.

At the start of most relationships there is often an air of excitement and a great deal of passion. There is a saying that suggests that the key to a man's heart is via his stomach, I would disagree. In my opinion if his manhood is seeing plenty of action, the man is normally all sweetness and light. At this early stage the woman is normally quite awestruck and can be quite adventurous sexually, willing to do almost anything to keep her man happy. This early period of sexual discovery can be very intense and exciting for us women.

During these early periods, possibly due to all of this regular passion, a woman is often showered with gifts and attention. This makes her feel like a queen and very much loved. This is exactly how the majority of women want to feel.

The sad reality is that this passion often reduces after only a few months and the women start to want new things out of the relationship, such as emotional support and a person to discuss important matters with.

A man can see this lack of bedroom action as a sign of their partner going off them and do not seem to understand that this early passion has reduced naturally. Suddenly the gifts start to become few and far between as does any form of compliment. It is like a man's way of getting the woman back.

All of this can lead to a great deal of resentment on both sides and this is the slippery slope to many a breakdown.
